Etriel
(Translation from Elvish: Sword-Sister)

Forging: Crafted by elven smiths and magic-users from the city of Evereska, from metal and other materials found on Abeir-Toril.

Blade: Shortsword length, measuring twenty-six inches in overall length. The blade is made of adamantine, a naturally occurring metal found on Toril and other worlds. The blade is double edged, narrowing near the middle before flaring out approximately ten to twelve inches from the point, making it useful for both piercing and slashing attacks. Engraved on the blade, in Espruar, is the word "ETRIEL."

Crossguards: Made of adamantine, the crossguards are sharp and point upward toward the point of the blade. A single yellow topaz is inset in the middle of the crossguard, on both sides.

Hilt: Etriel’s hilt is made from the bone of an unknown animal, with a mithril cap connecting the crossguards and hilt. The pommel cap is made of normal brass, shaped into the form of an eagle. The overall length of the hilt is seven inches.

Bonus: +3 (If you bother using D&D style bonuses.)

Powers:

  1. Sharpness. Etriel is enchanted with wizardly spells to increase the sharpness of the blade. When combined with the type of metal, this allows the blade to cut through nearly any material with little effort (when combined with the strength like that possessed by Amazons or empowered warriors). Etriel can cut into concrete or stone with moderate power, but the sword is designed for severing the limbs off of the wielder’s enemies. (Using standard D&D rules, Etriel is a standard +3 Shortsword of Sharpness)
